Still Made One At A Time! The Ultimate in Longbows and Flatbows I produce quality hand made one piece and take down bows that are genuinely beautiful, smooth, fast and dependable with superior performance. Each bow is handcrafted and built one at a time to your specifications.
Northern Mist offers a wide selection of bows for the discriminating traditional archer. Compare quality, craftsmanship, materials and price and you will find that Northern Mist longbows are without equal. I offer fine handcrafted equipment enhanced by 19 years of experience. The typical longbow shooters are usually people who look upon a favorite bow as almost an appendage of their own body. Few such bows are ever resold, but often may be seen at field archery tournaments or in the forest during hunting season. The bow is simple in design, lightweight and permits the archer to shoot from awkward positions with relative ease. The hunter or field archer appreciates that the longbow is lightweight. There is little fatigue from carrying a lightweight longbow all day.
Traditional archers may pattern themselves after the legendary Robin Hood, using a back quiver for arrows, a leather lace-on arm guard and shooting only custom-made cedar arrows. Our production rate is limited to keep our quality high and we produce some of the finest quality bows your money can buy. Let us make one for you. Compare quality, craftmanship, materials, and price and you will find that Northern Mist Longbows are without equal. We offer fine handcrafted equipment enhanced by 19 years of experience Take-down versions also available in all longbows The Classic Longbow us a traditional American
style straight limb longbow with just a touch of
reflex. This longbow is smooth and forgiving.
Available in 66" to 69". The Superior Longbow is a modern reflex-design.
This is a smooth shooting bow with no hand shock.
Available in 64" to 68". The Whisper is a reverse handle longbow with the
same limb design as the Classic Longbow. The
reverse handle offers a rounded grip which is very
comfortable and is less susceptible to torque. An
extremely forgiving and quiet design allows an
individual to shoot a shorter bow. Available in 62"
to 69". The Peshekee Take Down delivers the same great
performance as the Peshekee Recurve only with the
convenience and versatility of a Take Down.
Available in 58" to 66". The Ottawa is a traditional style recurve
reminiscent of the 1950's. It has the same limb
design of the Peshekee, only with a small riser.
This recurve is light weight, a real joy to carry
in the field. Available in 58" to 64" The Huron is a Flat Bow in a snappy
reflex-deflex limb design. A shorter bow with good
cast. Grip options are the same as the American
style longbow. Available in 62" and 64". The Baraga longbow is the same basic design as
the Superior, only with a bit more reflex and
deflex. The Baraga is also built for fast flight
strings. Available in 60" - 66". The Peshekee is a modern design with long deep
hooks and a full sized riser. This recurve is
stable and smooth with plenty of speed and cast. A
good choice for the hunter. Available in 58" to
64". CORE WOODS: Maple, Cherry, Elm, Hickory, Bamboo, and Ash. HANDLE WOODS: Bacote, Cocobolo, Maple, Black Walnut, Wenge, Purpleheart, Bubinga, and Shedua.
